Eddie Esserman

Eddie manages the firm’s St. Simons Island, Georgia office. Esserman began his broadcast career in high school as an announcer with a keen interest in engineering.
Esserman holds a B.S. degree from Georgia Tech. After graduation, he worked for the Pacific and Southern group of stations and managed sales departments for two Atlanta stations prior to becoming the Vice President and General Manager for Shamrock Broadcasting’s Atlanta outlet, WFOX.
In the mid 1990’s Esserman managed one of the country’s first large market duopolies in San Francisco. He then acquired and operated stations in Macon and Savannah. He presently owns stations in small rated and unrated markets and is an owner of a telecomm tower company with towers in the Southeast.
Esserman was appointed by the Department of Justice to serve as the Trustee for a mandated divestiture of three stations as a result of the Cumulus-Citadel merger in 2011. Eddie has served as a faculty member of the NAB’s Education Foundation Broadcast Leadership Training Program. He has testified as an expert witness in bankruptcy matters and been a court appointed broker.
Eddie was inducted into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame in 2010 and was elected to the National Association of Broadcasters, Radio Board of Directors representing Alabama and Georgia in 2013.
