Convergent Broadcasting, LLC has agreed to purchase the assets of radio station WVOD-FM, Manteo, NC, serving the Elizabeth City/Nags Head, NC, market from Orbit Communications, LLC, for $1.0 million.*

The acquisition of WVOD-FM brings Convergent_s holdings in North Carolina_s Outer Banks area to three FM facilities. The company in September announced its intent to purchase WYND-FM in Nags Head and WNHW-FM in Hatteras.
