East Arkansas Broadcasters of Russellville LLC Acquires Trio of Stations

Veteran Arkansas broadcaster Bobby Caldwell, adds a trio of stations to his Russellville, Arkansas group. EAB of Russellville LLC is acquiring KARV-AM-FM and KYEL-FM from Kermit and Diane Womack of Springdale, Arkansas. KARV-AM is a four tower kilowatt on 610 kHz, licensed to Russellville. KARV-FM is a class A facility on 101.3 mHz, licensed to Ola, Arkansas, and KYEL-FM, also a class A, on 105.5 mHz is licensed to Danville FM, Inc., owned by Diane Womack. All three stations have studios in Russellville. The purchase price is $800,000 cash at closing for all assets of both companies.*

Caldwell also owns and operates six other market area stations, KWKK-FM-Russellville, KCJC-FM and KCAB-AM-Dardanelle, KCON-FM-Atkins, all with studios in Russellville, and KVOM-AM and KVOM-FM with studios in Morrilton, Arkansas. Various Caldwell entities also own and operate 19 other radio stations in several Arkansas markets. East Arkansas Broadcasters is the largest radio group in Arkansas, with headquarters in Wynne, Arkansas.

Kermit Womack also continues to own and operate KURM-AM/FM in Springdale, Arkansas.
