Georgia Eagle Broadcasting, Inc. has closed on its acquisition of WWNS-AM and WPTB-AM, Statesboro, GA, WSYL-AM and WZBX-FM, Sylvania, GA, WDXQ-AM/FM, Cochran, GA, and WMCD-FM, Claxton, GA, from Communications Capital Company II of Georgia, LLC for $2.3 million. 

Georgia Eagle Broadcasting’s President, Dr. Cecil Staton, commented that “Georgia Eagle is enormously excited about this acquisition and committed to the future of the Statesboro market.  We believe this is one of the most exciting radio opportunities in Georgia and look forward to serving the businesses of the region with unique and create opportunities to partner for economic success.”
