High Plains Radio Network, LLC Acquires Two More Oklahoma Stations

High Plains Radio Network, LLC of Plainview, Texas has acquired two more stations in Western Oklahoma. After recently acquiring a 3 FM station cluster in Altus, OK, Monte Spearman’s High Plains Radio announces its acquisition of an AM and an FM in nearby Frederick, Oklahoma. High Plains is acquiring KBYE-FM, owned by Fort Worth Media Group/LKCM Radio Group, LP and KTAT-AM, owned by Morey Broadcasting, LLC. LKCM Radio Group has other broadcast interests in Corsicanna, TX; Wichita Falls, TX; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; and Las Vegas, NV. Morey Broadcasting has no other broadcast interests. Total consideration for the pair was $210,000 cash, $175,000 for the FM and $35,000 for the AM.

High Plains Radio has 10 stations in west Texas, serving the Plainview and Lubbock markets, three North Arkansas FM stations in Mountain Home, and now 5 stations in the Altus, OK market, for a total of 18 facilities.

Bill Whitley and Bill Cate of Media Services Group were the exclusive brokers of the transaction.
