PRESS RELEASE

March 1, 2013

KENT-AM licensed to Parowan, Utah has been sold* to Canyon Media Group, LLC. KENT-AM was one of five stations put up for sale by Wayne Klein, Utah Fifth District Court’s appointed receiver.  The stations were previously owned by Morgan Skinner’s Legacy Communications who was forced into receivership by their creditors including US Capital out of Colorado. KENT-AM broadcast on 1400 kHz with 1000 watts day/night and cover neighboring Cedar City, Utah. The station is currently dark.  Canyon Media Group, LLC or its affiliates own several stations in St. George, Utah; Logan, Utah and Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Greg Merrill of our Salt Lake City office was appointed by the court to market the stations.  In the fall of 2012, seven bids were received on the five stations including KPTO-AM, Pocatello, Idaho; KITT-FM, Soda Springs, Idaho; KOGN-AM Ogden, Utah and KNFL-AM, Tremonton, Utah.  Contracts and FCC filings are pending on these stations.
