Lee Family Broadcasting completes acquisition of the assets of KART Broadcasting Company

Lee Family Broadcasting, Inc. has closed on the purchase of the assets of KART Broadcasting Company, Inc (KART-AM, KMVX-FM) for $650,000.) KART-AM and KMVX-FM are licensed to Jerome, Idaho and serve the Twin Falls (Sun Valley), Idaho metro (Jerome is 12 miles from Twin Falls).  Kim Lee is the president of Lee Family broadcasting and purchased the stations from his brother Kent Lee.  These stations have been in the Lee Family since 1964.  

 

Kim Lee also owns 4 stations (KZDX/KBAR & KKMV/KFTA) in neighboring Burley and Rupert, Idaho. While the programming on KART-AM will remain the same, serving the Jerome market, KMVX-FM will change its call signs and format to KZNO and become “ESPN 102.9 the Zone.”  The zone will feature College of Southern Idaho Sports, and CSI voice Jonathan Drew will become the Zone’s sport direction and 3-6pm host.  Change is schedule for May 24. 

 

KMVX-FM (Mix 103) is a Class C-1 broadcasting at 102.9 mHz with 100,000 watts ERP programming an AC format.  KART is a country station on 1400 kHz with 1,000 watts day and night.
