M.R.S. Ventures, Inc. Acquires Five Stations from Friends Communications

April 5, 2002

M.R.S. Ventures, Inc. of Tyler, TX, has agreed to purchase the assets of several Oklahoma radio stations: KRPT-FM, Anadarko; KXCA-AM, Lawton; KDDQ-FM, Commanche and KXCD-AM/KKEN-FM, Duncan, from Friends Communications for $1.868 million.*

M.R.S. Ventures currently owns multiple broadcast properties in East Texas and is headed by Jerry Russell.

Friends Communications, headed by Bob Elliot, owns several stations in Michigan.

William L. Whitley served as the exclusive broker in this transaction.
