Press Release
New Radio Venture LLC has agreed to purchase the assets of radio station KNRC-AM, licensed to Englewood, CO (Denver, CO market, ranked #22) from NRC Broadcasting Inc., for $5,525,000.*
This is the second acquisition by New Radio, joining KMYL-AM Phoenix, Arizona.
NRC is a Colorado based radio broadcasting company that currently owns and operates 12 stations in Colorado. The stations include the first JACK formatted station in the US, 105.5 KJAC FM and 1510 KCUV AM in Denver, plus 9 FM stations in the mountain resorts of Aspen, Vail, Steamboat Springs, and Breckenridge. NRC recently received FCC approval and is upgrading 1510 AM to 50,000 watts day/25,000 watts night and is also holds the option of relocating 102.3 KJEB FM (formerly KAGM) from Strasburg to Greenwood Village, a contiguous Denver suburb, creating a new 6000 watt Class A signal over Metro Denver and many of the surrounding communities.
_This is just unbelievable_ stated Ray Skibitsky, COO of NRC. After having been involved as GM and partner in the start up and operations of two Denver powerhouses over the past 30 years, 97.3 KBCO and 96.5 The Peak, Skibitsky is elated when he says how fortunate he is to have the opportunity to build _something from scratch a few more times. Thanks to my partners and our tremendous and talented team, we are re-defining radio and the Denver airwaves once again_
