On Top Communications has closed on its purchase of the assets of radio station KNOU-FM, licensed to Empire, Louisiana and serving the Greater New Orleans market, from JP Broadcasting, LLC.

KNOU-FM is an Urban formatted Class C2 FM operating at 104.5 Mhz.

On Top Communications is headed by Steve Hegwood, formerly with Radio One. JP Broadcasting is headed by Chris Devine and Bruce Buzil of Chicago.

Greg Merrill, Eddie Esserman and George R. Reed represented the parties in this transaction.
