Sun Valley Radio has closed on its purchase of the assets of radio station KGNT-FM, _Giant Country,_ Smithfield, UT, from Legacy Communications for $775,000.

Smithfield is located just north of Logan, UT, where Sun Valley Radio currently owns a cluster of radio stations. KGNT-FM is a Class A station located at 103.9 programming country music and serving the Cache Valley area of Utah and Idaho.

Legacy Communications is headquartered in St. George, UT, and headed by Morgan Skinner. Kent Frandsen of Logan heads up Sun Valley Radio.

Legacy Communications is selling their other radio interest — KNFL-FM licensed to Tremonton, UT– to 3 Point Media Utah, LLC.
